The annual Fall joint meeting of the New England sections (NES) of APS and AAPT will be held on October 14th - 15th (Friday and Saturday) at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) in Durham, with the exciting return of in-person meeting. The theme of the meeting is “spin polarization from nucleon to quantum matter”, which features recent developments of polarized targets in nuclear physics and magnetism in condensed matter physics. Invited and contributed talks will cover related topics. AAPT workshops will be offered on Saturday afternoon.
UNH is New Hampshire’s flagship public research institution. The Durham campus is located on the Atlantic coastline, about 60 miles north of Boston. Mid-October is the peak of foliage season when the landscape is covered by golden color.
